Mixed Media videos are simply a combination of animation, live-action videos, and/or static images. All of my videos come in this format. This style typically includes 2D character animation and animated infographics. The reason I use this style is that it provides the most flexibility in creative storytelling. I don’t produce full 2D animated cartoon videos because I don’t have in-house background design artists and an entire animation team to rig and animate every scene. That style of 2D animation is great for explaining a product or service on a website, but they suck resources away from top-notch storytelling.
Mixed media explainers are great for businesses looking for content that express their personality, interests, and expertise. Since I am a one-person explainer studio, my services are excellent for small to medium businesses wanting to increase brand affinity and awareness while staying within a $1K-$3K budget. The mixed-media format allows me to focus on developing compelling, informative, and zeitgeisty stories that capture the essence of their brand. I recommend using this format for brand storytelling and brand journalism.
